Most of the portable drilling units core a 1 inch hole.
Often... the core breaks. ( real mess )
I would think, this is due to the smaller diameter and
gyro - sway play ... from operator.
What would i do differently ? I'd modify the Coupling shaft on main motor body.
Allow it to accomodate a standard NQ 2.75 in core ( rod )
- larger core
better stability - less sway, less core breakage
- NQ standard samples ( conforms )
- accomodates standard - core bits
- use standard 6 ft core rods
