FED vs PROVINCIAL ( contrasting energy view points)

Federal -  is pro nuclear energy.
Provincial - unsupportive  (  low water / no hydro electricity )

Federal Input -
Prime Minister Trudeau
said, “We’re going to need a lot more energy. . . We’re gonna have to be doing much more nuclear.”

Until Energizer has a battery big enough to power Vancouver, for example, wind and solar will only be helpful when the wind is blowing or the sun is shining. When those conditions aren’t met, the city needs to rely nearly entirely on FortisBC or BC Hydro’s networks for baseload power.

In Ontario, that’s a function largely met by nuclear reactors.

Provincial Input -

Premier David Eby does not believe B.C. needs nuclear power to meet its emission reduction goals and energy needs. (Government of B.C./Flickr)

But the province’s Clean Energy Act, passed in 2010, prohibits nuclear power generation and Premier David Eby says his government has no plans to change that.

“This is not an ideological position,” said the premier. “I know the federal government is looking at small modular reactors (SMRs), it might be appropriate for other provinces to look at that kind of initiative because they don’t have what we have here in B.C., but we have a massive clean energy resource here.”

Eby pointed to B.C.’s  significant solar, wind and geothermal potential, as well as the bountiful supply of hydro power that has been the province’s main energy source for much of its history.

With in same article -
The idea is that SMRs will help overcome the cost and maintenance barriers that have historically hampered nuclear power.

Last October, Ontario Power Generation secured a $970-million loan from the Canada Infrastructure Bank to build the first SMR in Canada, a 300-megawatt structure located next to the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station.

The CER’s modelling shows B.C. will be able to fulfil two-thirds of its 2050 clean energy needs through renewable sources such as wind and solar, but suggests nuclear power will be needed to bridge the gap when those sources aren’t available or are stretched beyond capacity.

We see demand for electricity increasing significantly in B.C. to the extent of about 84 per cent [by 2050],” the CER’s chief economist Jean-Denis Charlebois said. “This is where nuclear comes in because when you add intermittent renewables to that extent, you also need a source of baseload power.”

First few things that comes to mind ?
- Our press release towards NDP $ 10 billion
- Potential other energy minerals on, Mg claims ( several )
- Fed is pro Nuclear
- Provincial is not
- Fed = Geological Survey Canada ( SE  BC  acting resident geologist ) Driftwood zone
= dots are beginning to connect

NDP will look silly if more waterways dry up.... no hydro power.
Solar and wind ?  Read up on Yukons pilot solar - they froze during winter.
How many rainy cloudy days does Vancouver see annually ?    lol

No water = No electricity.

Use every drop to keep water flow moving to turn turbines = no water for tourism.
Properties devalued, already happening in, BC.

Water Restrictions, Rolling Blackouts, and Fed insight already told BC to entertain
nuclear energy...

If my research is at all accurate, or even slight....
Is the Fed not providing $$$$ for critical energy metals ?
Yup.

I would think, if the Fed teamed with MGX it would be a grwat start.
Right ...?

The Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund (CMIF) will provide up to $1.5 billion in federal funding over 7 years for clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects necessary to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada.

Provincial BC is playing the card hand - no uranium explore - work on low carbon
all the while the waterways run dry
Federal playing - Nuclear

Geological Science - testing BC with radiometers / acting SE resident geologist

Market - halted our stock   Left stateside open to trade.

Investors - investors caught in a tug, pull game.... enviro, carbon, no nuclear
while... aren't low carbon and fed on same team...?  lol
As time passes... vantage low carbon + Fed  /  shareholders suffer.
