A War Over Taiwan Is a $10 Trillion Risk

10 Trillion = 10.000 Billion

The article was published beginning of Januar 24 with anticipated escalatory measures from china in regards to the elections in taiwan.

The indepth research is only available for Bloomberg temrinal users, but i was able to find more details on other sites based on the bloomberg resaerch in german. I am sure you would find similar details in english

GLOBAL GDP decrease
- 5%  taiwan blockade
-10% taiwan war with US involved

The GDP decrease for China, USA, Europe is much much higher than the global average

"
If there’s an upside from theBloomberg Economics analysis, perhaps it’s this: The $10 trillion cost of a crisis would be so high for all players that the incentive to avoid it is strong.
