These firms not just Cannacord get a committment for units in a financing and immediately start shorting the stock knowing full well that they will be able to replace the stock at a fixed dollar amount.So if the stock is trading at $.4.00 and the financing is at $3.40 they unload as much paper as possible through blind shorting. Numi just went through this as shorts rose to 1.4 million and once the financing was closed they covered off 700k worth of shorts.For this reson i always unload my position as soon as the financing is announced and 9/10 am able to replace my position much cheaper.
