Does it make sense?
To be competitive with electric vehicles, Hydrogen needs to sell at $3/kg. In California its currently $16/kg
They say PowerTap can operate at $2/kg. Large scale Blue Energy hydrogen production costs are in the $2-$3cdn range.
No email addresses on the Clean Power website. Lots of big words and generalities...I want to know if a single PowerTap installation makes money at $3/kg over 20 years, operating at 80% capacity? Then it makes sense to me. Otherwise it will not be adopted by the consumer and they will stay with electric, and more so as battery technology improves
Any data out there on PowerTap production costs?????
