Has Rob lost his golden touch or did he just get lucky with Goldcorp?  I've been watching this for a long time and tempted to buy at much higher prices. Is there any hope for big profits in the future?

I was watching an interesting analysis by a commodities expert. With the coming growth in electrifcation in the developing world and also the increase electric cars and related infrastructure, combined with the explosion in renewables...all these things bode well for copper. Copper is gonna be in high demand and price could double. Rob owns a big copper resource which could pay off big time a few ...more

You do realize those assets are in Argentina, one of the worst places to trust hard earned dollars.

Sure there's hope....when gold gets to $3500. Indeed. Having met Rob several times over the years I can't say he represents a good synopsis of mining because he is an intelligent, hard working fellow (unlike the bottom of barrel washouts that infest the industry) but even then, luck just plays a huge part of it and he's had it both ways - amazing luck with Goldcorp and bad luck now ...more

I have stuck with this stock for a several reasons: 1. I have watched Rob's work for many years, including Goldcorp's rise from the ashes of an awful strike into a powerhouse. 2. He has been relentlessly honest and frank about the mishaps that have dogged the company over the past few years, taking responsibility as needed.
