Think about a huge hunk of mountainous land, with barely a proper road, halfway across the world. There may be tons of copper below, but how do you get it out and sell it? You can own the property until doomsday and it won't make a dime for you. It takes skill, epxerience, effort and funding to get it going. RM could have sold it for a song, but went the route of soliciting partners for the funding. And now the process is well underway. In the end, I would rather own a big chunk of a producing mine that all of one where the ore stays underground.
