National Instrument 43‐101 Technical Report Kapulo Copper Pr
Just went over (briefly) the The Technical Report that was completed in Nov 30, 2014, and announced on Dec 22, 2014 ...and it was very lengthy and detailed.. most of it was over my head, but i liked the conclusion.
Near the end, it summarized the following:
25 INTERPRETATION AND CONCLUSIONS
Work undertaken since conclusion of the feasibility study in June 2011 has included: - Infill and extensional resource definition drilling;
- New geological interpretations and updated resource estimates;
- An extensive program of metallurgical test work;
- Complete revisions of cost and revenue parameters;
- Re-optimisation and design of the open pits, and
- New mining and ore processing schedules.
The authors consider that this work has enabled more reliable mineral resource estimates, greater
confidence in estimates of the modifying factors required to estimate mineral reserves and thus more
reliable estimates of project economics and value.
At the time of this report and on the basis of the studies documented in the report, extraction of the
Kapulo Mineral Reserve can reasonably be justified.
With construction of the process plant nearing completion and commissioning having commenced at
the time of reporting, risks associated with development of the Kapulo Copper Project have abated.
Key operating risks are now considered to be the copper production ramp-up schedule and performance of the processing plant.
The Kapulo Copper Project is a high capital intensity project, the value of which could be significantly
enhanced by discovery of additional mineral reserves that would extend mine life.
Also, Table 114: Estimated life-of-mine annual cash flows, $000,000’s was good to see and it showed projections up to year 2021. The technical report is available for review under the Company’s profile on SEDAR (www.sedar.com) and on the Company’s website (www.mawsonwest.com).
