So we had to get my daughter tested today. She is only 9 but has had a sore throat since Tuesday.
We started looking to get her tested on friday but couldn't book a test until this morning as everything was full.
We think she is fine but with the new restrictions due to the findings at random schools of dozens of kids having Covid and being astmptomatic, not only can we now not send our daughter to school but our two boys also can't go since our daughter has a sore throat.
Anyhow hopefully the test comes back negative and they are all clear to return to school by this Tuesday.
Its crazy out there. Another record # of cases in Toronto this morning of 1924 and over 2000 in Quebec, large outbreak in a LTC home... sad to think a lot of these outbreaks could have been prevented.
A return to normalcy is a long ways away IMO, even with a vaccine and assuming it's effective for more than 3-6 months, sad to say I personally don't believe it will be until 2022 at best.
How will we even return to normalcy if vaccinated people can still get sick and still spread Covid. Seems the cycle is just going to continue, maybe at a reduced rate of infections?
Truly believe the new normal will be technology like BioCloud or similar tech to notify people if they are at risk due to someone in a room that is a carrier. That's bit going away anytime soon, maybe not for years, maybe never.
