yesterday...
I boasted that I was going to be smart and dump some of my position and buy it back today at a lower price as this action is so predictable. I was right, just not smart becuase I asked for too much and didn't fill.... The only thing that will move this significantly (in my sometimes right but not smart opinion) is surprise news in the middle of the day. All this company pr released in the morning is like halved donuts that no one wants.

Since you didn't fill? Or you didn't completely fill? If you didn't fill at all it's not that you "asked for too many" but rather that people wouldn't sell you any. If you partially filled then not enough people were willing to sell you shares. So more accurately wouldn't it be more like full donuts people aren't willing to give you half of?

I would take "lucky" any day. Usually I am just greedy and stupid. Had I set my limit a few pennies lower I woud have aquired another 100 shares easy (if you do the math you can estimate my position - it is not anything resembling substantial). But you are correct in that fluctuations in this one are not a big deal and we do seem to have steadied a bit lately.
