Film Industry

I have a friend who works on set for a movie being shot.  Each person in the crew and cast gets nasal tested 4 times a week.  Thats the protocol in place to shoot a film or tv series in Canada.

Each test costs the production company $125.

Sure makes 12K sound like a pretty small investment to me...

maybe you should ask your friend the whole protocol. Do they have tonget 4 PCR tests a week? Thats the same test that travellers need to come back to Canada. If so, dont think biocloud would fit into that protocol.

well when i told him about biocloud and sent him the link.....he was more than impressed and is eager to show his boss. so...

So... your friend and his boss are not in a position to negociateba protocol, even though they might be very impressed.  boicloud and PCR tests are not the same thing and the first cannot replace  the second for a regulatory use.

This is an excellent thread by the way. The key here is not that biocloud would be used as a medical test/device, it's that if the protocol is such that each individual is to be tested each day, or in the case of the production team most days, and reguardless of symptoms, it starts to make financial and logistical sense to more or less scan all the staff in a matter of minutes with the bio ...more

Apologies in advance if this is considered arrogant to repost my post from last night. I was curious to know if anyone hear on the board has thoughts on the subject matter below? I reached out to the KNR team this morning. Will let know if I hear back! :) Thanks, S

Nope, not arrogant at all. You just have a lot of hope and time on your hands like the rest of us. Don't worry all good. I don't see it making a difference though. The things that matter to our success are not in our hands right now.

The majority of All of the tests in Canada TV and film are done through Datametrex DM as they signed a $20MM deal in summer and have re upped it since then. That is why DM and KNR would be great strategic partners for many industries especially LTC facilities
