I expect better from Mcdonald's...

And it will start in Canada. All we have here so far is this:  https://hospitalitytech.com/mcdonalds-franchises-install-next-generation-pathogen-control-technology

Sounds okay but you don't know if there is airborne virus without a biocloud. And they can't exactly bathe their customers in uv light. Sounds like this is just a franchisee decision. The good folks at Kontrol have obviously sold some influential folks on the thing. Have they sold Mcdonald's on it? Oh, I hope. Today I realize (as I thought about AMC) that theaters are a great fit. You literally sit there fo two hours. I won't go to the movies anytime soon, that's for sure!

I will re-iterate what I said a couple weeks ago - I still think that technology that kills the virus outright will have better understanding and acceptance in the marketplace. I really think it would be ideal if KNR had a 2-in-1 solution (or teamed up with another manufacturer to offer it).  Look at this video of the UV angel, it's actually pretty slick: https://www.youtube.com ...more

I also like that UV angel has a specific guide you can download for how to implement it in a restaurant workflow. From the site: Fill out the form below for immediate access to our Restaurant Guide, outlining how you can implement UV Angel products at your restaurant and create a more comfortable environment for customers, clients and staff. This is something that I said in the past that I hope ...more

Paul has already mentioned they have numerous other applications in the works thay don't want to talk about just yet... don't bet against this guy.  I bet numerous partnerships with other covid fighting plays are in play too.  The ramifications and applications for this technology is immense.

That would be my guess as well Wilander.

"Cool virus killing machine... how do you know it's working?"...   "You can hear it... plus you can see the lights".    ..."Yeah, but how do you know its working?" The point is that as welcome and necessary preventative measures are there is no substitute for knowledge of the threat. I would rather have detection and normal sanitization ...more

Agree 100%.  Plus if an employee working an 8 hour shift is spewing  Covid particles into the air, I'd rather know in 5-10 minutes and vacate than hope this thing kills them before I inhale them over the next 8 hours.  Identification and isolation of the source is key before they spread it to others in the store or leave and spread it unknowingly to dozens of other people ...more

This is why I said a 2-in-1 approach would seem like a real winner. Every restaurant and store on the planet now has hand sanitizer at the door - with the purpose of trying to kill the virus if present. Would you say that stores that have the Biocloud installed no longer need the sanitizer? Atfter all, the sanitizer doesn't alert you to the fact that Covid is in the air. No, you would say that ...more

Really? BioCloud has partnered with another company and is giving options or suggesting that customers buy the BioCloud in combination with UV killing technology? That's great!!! Can I have the link please?

I think that even though biocloud was mix with a coronas virus killer ray, you wont have a safe space... safe air, jut bot safe space. Virus wont be in the air no more, but some will have landed on surfaces with the eavier particules. So, by touching these items or surfaces, someone could still be infected.

I can smell the smoke from you trying to think way over here
Comment by Nassan81 on Feb 04, 2021 10:37pm
Well then, explain to me why the first thing the authorities asked us to do was to wash our hands? Because the virus can infect someone that touches a infected surface. It is not only airborne, it survives on surfaces and it is an other way of spread.  Deniying that is seeing only a part of reality. The one you want to look at.

You are correct. The virus can be spread through surface contact. It is not considered as much of a risk by many but it is very real so wash your hands, use  hand sanitizer, wear a mask and eye protection and stay the hell away from anyone you don't absolutely have to be near. Simple. UV lights to sanitize surfaces are a welcome addtiion to the arsenal. Since we already can control the ...more
