Kontrol Technologies Announces Uplisting to NEO, a Canadian Senior Stock Exchange

TORONTO, May 4, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -  Kontrol Technologies Corp. (CSE: KNR) (OTC: KNRLF) (FSE: 1K8) ("Kontrol Technologies" or "Kontrol" or "Company") a leader in smart buildings and cities through IoT, Cloud and SaaS technology, is pleased to announce that it has received final approval to list its common shares on the NEO Exchange (the "NEO") and intends to voluntarily delist its common shares from the Canadian Securities Exchange (the "CSE"). To ensure continued and seamless trading for the Company's shareholders, the Company's common shares are expected to be delisted from the CSE at the close of trading on May 5, 2021 and listed for trading on the NEO under the trading symbol "KNR" at the open of trading on May 6, 2021. The transition is not expected to impact current investors ability to trade shares of Kontrol.

If I look at Stockwatch, 22k shares traded on NEO ATS and 50k shares traded on the CSE. What am I missing with this "uplisting"? I think this will still be my only stock "listed on NEO". Is TSX-V an "uplist" from here still? Most investors want to move up from TSX-V. I don't get these KNR guys at all anymore.

To be fair, I am not very familiar with it and I see any stock have some trades showing as going through the NEO ATS. Don't know if ATS is something different. My point is that I don't have microcaps aspiring to uplisting to NEO hence me being underwhelmed. But, if this is all to get out of CSE manipulation, we will see shortly how the trading will change. Maybe it will be the best thing

Well, while some are perplexed and others celebrate this as a great feat, I know that I don't recall anyone saying "hey, looking forward to uplisting to the TSX, Nasdaq or NEO". I don't know how much strategizing versus reacting there is going on behind the scenes.
