Kontrol Technologies Posts Q1 Revenues Of $26.6 Million

Kontrol Technologies has seen a slight revenue decline on a quarter over quarter basis. The firm this morning filed its first quarter 2022 financial results, posting revenues of $26.6 million for the period ended March 31, 2022.

Hardly a "deep dive".  It would be nice if the author at least took a splash and perhaps sought to figure out whether there is seasonality to the business.  You know, it would be silly to use the previous quarter for comparison, if the previous quarter may be seasonally more lucrative.  These guys grow revenue 7 times from last year's quarter, are on track annually to ...more

if you guys would do a little DD then you would know that Q1 is usually their weakest quarter
Comment by Mostlyserious on May 16, 2022 10:16am
I think any guy that publishes commentary on public companies should do that "little DD". That was my point.  Paul maintained their last guidance which I think is between $95M-$105M for the year.  that means $25M per quarter.  So, this may be usually their weakest quarter, but may not necessarily be this year.  But who cares, everyone should know that things are never ...more

Sure, maybe Ghezzi can give him a shout and Gates can make an investment in BioCloud. Surely a few hundred million is nothing for him especially considering how he would be saving the world.  So, let's mimick the smoke detector and create a virus detector. Now we can pretend that detection for viruses, which we will never know of what they will look like until they are upon us, is the ...more

you should change your name from mostlyserious to notseriousatall 1. you dont have to ditch the detector you just have to replace the cartrage with one that detects the new virus the technology stays the same and yes they came up with detecting the covid virus very quickly 2. supply chains are in place thru the medical industry that suply the i think they are the solutions/enzymes  needed ...more

LOL!  OK, you didn't quite get my semi-serious drift, but let me address you specific points: 1.  Not an argument against my points.  Sure, let's keep adding cartridges at a few hundred bucks a pop, because that is the current winning formula. 2.  The world couldn't produce enough masks and gloves.....  Yet, "you just have to come up with the right ...more

Some, but not in most because much of my common sense application is linked to the fact that we don't know what we don't know, and when it hits us, it will have to be studied.  In the end, virus detection stuff may be coming, but by the time it gets to acceptance and adoption, what happens with BioCloud will be very different than a $15K unit, requiring $200 or whatever cartridges ...more

Lol except for all the ways it's the exact opposite of obsolete . Too funny. Covid itself may not be as much of an issue as it was (for now), but this was also a wake up call for any/all future viruses or pathogens.  To recap, literally the opposite of obsolete

And you are seeing it infront of your eyes how serious the world is about better preparing for it.  Our own government can't even endorse it as something "Made in Canada" to help prevent effects of such things that brought the world to a standstill, almost literally.  Then again, I believe you are the fella that called for a $3 SP in anticipation of Health Canada results ...more
