well if you think someone should be able to borrow 10 billion and then use 5 billion to pay the payment on another loan, then you should jump in, to me they are not going to be able to financial engineer out of this one, they have one of two options take bankruptcy or save debt/bondholders with euro zone in tack until they catch up to the can again, these whiz kid bankers think they can save debt ...more

And if you follow history, Italy as soft under pelly than Greece would be, dont get Greeked, meaning simalar to getting corned

I don't see why not if they patch things up with the creditors and remain in the Eurozone. After all, they were heading in that direction before the crisis hit.  If I am not mistaken, based on last year Dec 2014, the balance sheet for NBG showed an approx $11.6 B in equity. Outstanding shares is 3.5B. So quick math gives you $3.30/share. SPP is now @ US$0.88.   Does anyone ...more
