Some points re the NR, SP, etc.

I liked the NR. This comment by Neil M. is important:

"This US$25 million second advance payment, represents a significant milestone achieved in our plans to grow the Company. The net proceeds of this financing, which, based on our current share capitalization, equates to approximately 34 cents per share cash infusion to our treasury, will allow us to further develop and increase production at our two fully-owned coal mines as well as further expand our coal mining assets through completion of the Ikerd Acquisition."

Some points:

- Re Neil's comment, this is a 34 cent a share cash infusion - and it doesn't dilute the shares. That is excellent - meaning the rest of the company and the upside are now only given a value of twenty-odd cents a share!

- The SP is down a bit so far today, which may be due to some or all of:

          a) a bit of deal fatigue
          b) a fair bit of Neil fatigue and a well-deserved Neil M. discount
          c) well-known legacy problems (see last point)
          d) anticipation of news

Stockhouse had a technical problem with my last post, as the last line showed. Here's the rest of it:e) Vancouver guys get up laterNDX has a history of going down on good news (see the last money NR) and then surging up over the next couple of days. This may happen here. If the leg-up occurs, watch for some OceanPoint contacts to take some profits - and put it  ...more

I could see the buyers holding off and letting this drift down a bit, before ramping it up again.  but we'll see.

I hear you, Jim... but what are the specific catalysts that might drive Alternet's sp higher between February and June?moreover, the stock is so illiquid that even minor buying pressure will lift the sp, but where is this buying supposed to come from considering that the company does not publish any numbers and is only listed OTC?cheers - Laurin(I still hold some NDX, but I'm surprised ...more

Laurin, I have mentioned the ALYI on this bullboard because it relates to the NDX - namely that a LOT of NDX shareholders are contacts of OceanPoint -  big supporters of ALYI. I will answer your questions in an inbox, sir.RE the NDX not reacting better to the Sandstorm announcement - this tells me that the Neil MacDonald discount is even stronger than I thought it was. IMHO, after OceanPoint ...more
