Miners Nearing Production

staolin: "but there just isn't money being pumped into these juniors nearing full production. At least none of the ones I'm following."

I own Aurcana Corp, a junior silver producer about to produce at near near senior levels. There has been a very recent move in share price of about 20-25%.

Would you care to share any other juniors on your list nearing full production?

You didn't ask me, but I have LUC nearing production  ... the CEO said 'diamonds in my hand' by mid-April..

Oh I should add, so it has something relevant to NDX, that LUC was a complete dog until couple months before production .. I don't pretend to understand why people can't wait. They were basically giving away shares two months ago .... Hopefully  see the same phenomenon here..

I mean, hopefully see it pop in the same way ..

bza is nearing full production. I looked at aurcana when you mentioned it previously. It's too bad I didn't jump in and missed the recent run up.  Coal prices, met and thermal, seemed poised to dip for a while. The NR that this company put out makes it seem like there are contracts in place to keep their sales around the 165-180 level. So there's one negative outlook overhanging ...more

Sure.. I own a couple with production slated for early 2013 .. BAJ (copper) for example.. nearer than that I don't think I know any others besides LUC. Patience is essential. Anyways,  I feel far more comfortable buying beaten down stocks to the point where I almost exclusively do so. If I chase something I get smacked in the mouth usually, so that  has ended that practice pretty ...more

Unfortunaly there a few people who are still sour with last years Ikerd deal, or they have a personal issue with Neil. Im long on this stock, and will wait for full production results later this spring.

"I looked at aurcana when you mentioned it previously. It's too bad I didn't jump in and missed the recent run up."   Aurcana still has a long way to run in my opinion.  At least a 5 bagger drom here.  Maybe 10.

I've owned enough mining stocks to know that being one month away from production can actually be a year away from production.  Mining stocks are horrible for hitting timelines.  And to boot they have things out of their control like permits.  There is a permit for everything...

Thanks cleverrox for the words of experience and wisdom.  Perhaps there is an issue with the Rex mine's permit for the onsite wash plant. No news is good news?  I don't wish to be negative but I am always a little nervous.  I would guess Kentucky is more cooperative with these things than most, particularly with the current economy, but things can get off track for all ...more

True .. the LUC I talked about was delayed 3 months by a week long strike in the steel industry in South Africa.... delays come with the territory.. I was just reading about ECX .. expected Q1.. now delayed to Q3. Delays everywhere I look. lol
