In my opinion the water bearing dike was no surprise and it is not anything remotely akin to having an underground lake (aquifer : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquifer) above the copper bearing zone. The equipment and techniques needed to safely and securely seal up the water ingress that the company already knew about obviously has posed some challenges but these are just mine start

Good work on the technical report, Not. The water is not a big surprise, as shown in the report. They estimated the flow as pretty substantial and is to be pumped. It was planned to be used for the mine.
