In my opinion the water bearing dike was no surprise and it is not anything remotely akin to having an underground lake (aquifer : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquifer) above the copper bearing zone. The equipment and techniques needed to safely and securely seal up the water ingress that the company already knew about obviously has posed some challenges but these are just mine start ...more

it states alluvial fan....  the valley was covered in a glacier..  when it melted the sand on top formed the beach bed of the lake..  which sank and was cover by a couple volcanos.. sulfor has many shapes - due to STP or standard temp pressure..  it can for gasses - amine coumpounds (ealty demarol pharmas) - sulfides.  hygroscopic and carries a di-elecric when in a ...more

yes & kno ?  as they open the shaft up & it increases flow..  then they hav a small flood on their hands..  and like the one poster applied..  water is heavy and takes heavy buks to move around unless its flowing down hill

Good work on the technical report, Not. The water is not a big surprise, as shown in the report. They estimated the flow as pretty substantial and is to be pumped. It was planned to be used for the mine.

Found another sectio of interest: 16.1.19.2 on page 16 - 35 16.1.19.2 Dewatering There will be four major pump stations in the underground mine. The first pump stations to be developed will be associated with the Main Shaft. One will be on the lowest 2150 Level, off of the bottom of the Main Shaft, which will pump water up the shaft to the other station will be at the 960 Level. From the 960 ...more

amazing !  this information has been ehre all along.  or the general "Drift of whats leaking... aslo - NCI INstalled a 2000 foor lined/cased 12 INch DW well..  Longyear boghart started drillin that in oct of 2019.. that is not locatded in this document.. there is some loose leaf.  about screened down to arounf 900 feet - starting arounf 600.. well pointing out to 0.30 ...more

the Landfill in Mt Holly NJersey was well pointed..   the lLF was unlined and a towering power of garbage from jersey and philly.. several hundred feet high...  a housing boom in or around 1970 (stated building 200,000 +) consumed all of the local farmland and turned it into house farms... this landfill was spewing everything into the GW as the town started pumping municipal water ...more
