"COPPER prices have skyrocketed which has forced the London Metal Exchange to introduce emergency measures amid the threat of collapse.

Such is the dire situation for the market, Bloomberg correspondent Javier Blas claimed matters had become "beserk". 

Emergency measures have been introduced tonight such as new lending rules, "backwardation limits" and deferred delivery. 

Mr Blas said: "The London Metal Exchange has introduced emergency measures to ensure 'orderliness and continued liquidity' in the copper market."

Total misleading headline. So the games begin. They going to keep this up for 5-7 years? " and allowances for holders of some short positions to avoid delivery of metal" The backward limit though is big surprise.Glta!!  This is the most demanded commoditiy, no stopping it's rise.

"Total misleading headline. So the games begin...:" Headlines sell papers and the games never stop.  I was hoping someone could explain the consequence of the backwardation on market pressures.  This phenomenon is so infrequent as to be outside my experience. b.
