Copper stocks have dropped a good bit since the market digested the Fed's latest hawkish news update yesterday, as the price of (Dr) Copper has traditionally followed the wax and waning of the economy and investors fear a hawkish fed will tamp down economic growth. We'll see, as the rest of the economic news for the last few days have beaten expectations, and the long-term copper shortfall

Copper always follows the USD in addition to supply/demand. b.
