Bullboard - Stock Discussion Forum Nevada Copper Corp NEVDQ

Nevada Copper Corp is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is engaged in the development, operation, and exploration of its copper project (the Project) at its Pumpkin Hollow Property (the Property) in Western Nevada, United States of America. Time to stop the beating...

The horse is dead...

All the arguing is pointless. Exploration companies and startup mining ventures are highly speculative by nature. Anybody who invests in them risks 100% of their investment. If you lost a significant portion of your investment portfolio on Nevada Copper, you paid for a valuable lesson. Move on and be smarter next time. These kinds of mining investment are like buying lottery tickets. It's possible to win big, but more likely you'll just be left with a worthless piece of paper.  You can be knowledgeable about geology (as I am, a bit) to improve your odds of picking the right numbers,  but it just depends on how the balls fall.

p.s. I confess that despite repeated attempts I've never had a successful mining investment in the U.S., although I've had some decent success in Canada, and even better success in Africa. Mining is simply not as attractive an investment in the U.S. market compared to tech, pharma, real estate, etc. That's going to have to change, if we are going to thrive in the invevitable deglobalization that appears to be imminent. I hope the next President and Congress can recognize the problem.

I think we are on the same page in regard to the risk evident in mining start-ups, however I was reading this board years ago while long-time players in copper expressed their analysis showing the real potential of Nevada Copper and the Pumpkin Hollow project, IF properly developed and managed. It was the “commodity bust” that began the long decline in the project’s fortune.  When asset ...more

A very enigmatic "company" and recent transaction... Especially with Augusta Resources (now Copper World) which isn't even fully permitted yet, was acquired by Hudbay for over 500 million USD 10 years ago (approximate size as the PH Open Pit).   10 years ago...   6 years from legal drinking age in Germany (Beer and wine). Slew you still have about 13 years to wait.. ...more

All fine and good, Dragon.  But don't be naive when you read those NI 43-101 Technical Reports, PEA's, FS's and press releases. Many times what they don't say is more telling than what they do say. And you can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse with careful wording if you are so inclined. I  made a living out of evaluating potential mergers and acquistions for viable ...more

And yet you cannot, even with all your expertise and knowledge, simply point out what in the FS you found to be in error, inaccurate, or incorrect.   Until you actually write something that can be subject to further examination and debate, your anonymous opinion without a factual basis is utterly worthless.   And about that opinion, how can you make any statement about the potential ...more

dragon, I gave you my opinion of the technical documents and several of the press releases. I'm not going to spend my time explaining point by point where I think they are misleading or weak on supporting data.  My reviews lead to my opinion that the property was likely to fail. I think that opinion has been supported by the bankruptcy. If you wish to make the case that Pumpkin Hollow ...more

“I gave you my opinion of the technical documents and several of the press releases. …”   Yes, you certainly did.  In fact, you have posted those opinions over and over and over again, but never have you identified what is incorrect about the FS’s conclusion that PH could be mined economically.   “I'm not going to spend my time explaining point by point …”   You can’t be ...more

" But don't be naive when you read those NI 43-101 Technical Reports, PEA's, FS's and press releases" Okay, I'll try.  Strange that I could successfully trade mining stock for over twenty years while being "naive".  LOL If I hadn’t been successful, I wouldn’t today still be trading in the market, would I?   BTW – You lumped “NI 43-101 ...more
