New information in context

The recent Fitz comments reveal the following new information:
- Orion gets 60% of Li price for 5,000 tons of lithium.  Opportunity cost for NMX of this clause is $36 million. This is probably already in their claim.
- Softbank gets an undisclosed discount on 20% of production

Old news:
- Fitz doesn't know what the other offers are.
- He is jutisfying why the government didn't step in to help Pallinghurst prevent the CCAA process.

The 60% discount is making headlines. It is unnecessary as it is a relatively small cost. This was known to the bidders.  There is qualified 8 bids.   And we will know the outcome soon.

There were 8 bidders at the beginning, but certainly not 8 at the end for the official/final bid. Maybe only between 1 and 3. The PwC report was before the final bids. Actually, the board of Nemaska was hoping for 2 or 3 at the beginning if I remember well.

At this stage, I would think Fitz knows about the offers. IQ is involved in the discussion and would know everything I assume. I don't see why Fitz would not be in the loop.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why a Minister would know the details of the SISP process (when the judge will decide), and yet we, the shareholders are in the dark?   “A court judge looks at different offers. I don't know what these offers are, ”Minister Fitzgibbon said, referring to a possible court ruling“ probably within 48 hours ”. An email sent to Nemaska Lithium to ...more

Perhaps there is only 1 offer left on the table which includes IQ/Fitz? That wouldn't be much of a decision for Judge Gouin to take. It behooves the Nemaska board to issue a press release asap!

Yes, maybe only 1 offer left on the table. The way Fitz says he went around the world and could not find investors, that looks that way. I guess it will be Pallinghurst who gets it for cheaper than the deal they had last year. A big win for them.

Fitz do not control SISP, not the cheaper bidders suppose to win, but all bids could be low :-(

At least, the good news is that Fitz said we would probably hear within 48 hours. The article was posted yesterday. That means we should be fixed next week, possibly at the beginning of the week.  That he says offers (with a ''s'') and that he does not know the offers can give some hope.  I always have hope. But this feels like there is 1 minute left in the third period ...more
