This is right from the oilprice.com site.
Alberta Natural Gas: 4.61
Dutch TTF natural Gas: 49.73
That is 10.65 Times as much as in Canada!
Looks to me like it is completely impossibe for the Nyrstar zinc operations in France, Netherlands, and Belguim to operate at a profit with these energy prices. I could, if I wanted to, post other links to articles about the sad state of the French Nuck power industry, but I think you already get the idea. This winter, the Europeans will be cutting down the trees in their streets, and burning their furniture in an all out attempt to stay warm. Making zinc is going to be the last thing on their minds.
