Noranda Income Fund is a Canadian based income trust. The fund owns the electrolytic zinc processing facility and ancillary assets located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. It produces refined zinc metal and by-products from sourced zinc concentrates. The fund's long-term objective is to maximize unitholder value and provide monthly distributions to unitholders.

Spot Zinc TC at $555 USD? Can Somebody Confirm?

I was looking for a spot Zinc TC. I found that it was $555 port Shaanixi. Can somebody confirm this for me?

I belivee out contract with Glencore this year is 60% fixed/40% variable. At $555/tonne that woudl be a HUGE revenue increase for old Noranda (if confirmed).

Well, like everything around zinc pricing, its complicated. Asian Metal shows prices actually retracted a bit but that would have been from the run up in the spring. They also show a story about Zinc TC up start of August (which I can't access). SMM News estimate that spot TC's for imported zinc concentrate in China recently increase from $165/t to $210/t. The high for the year was $240/t in May. They usually report a range of plus or minus of $10 to $20/t and these numbers are the averages.
