European Smelters?
Give me a break. There is NO WAY that they can be cost competitive with Hydro Quebec. Besides they'll have another 40 degree summer and everyone will have their air conditioners switched on.

I dont see it either, BUT, power is cheap(er) in Europe after a winter of not much gas consumption and have yuo seen the European premiums for refined zinc? I am nto sure it is the best use of energy, but I am not European either. IMHO Its a political argument - jobs today at 3 smelters vs safeguarding electricity costs into 2024.
