Why the huge volumes yesterday and today???? I don't get it. DID they close a financing or something?

It was a top pick last night on BNN

LOL...as if brokers at RBC, CIBC, Jitney, and BMO follow Eric Sprott?!?!? His top pick has nothing to do with it. Can someone do better please...thanks. ----------Original Message Posted 12/15/2010 10:36:31 AM---------- It was a top pick last night on BNN

Now that Eric is the lead broker for Sprott's Oil/Gas investments they are all pating him on the back today - "Good job Eric, you sure made the price pop today, our clients will be happy after you sell!" ----------Original Message Posted 12/15/2010---------- LOL...as if brokers at RBC, CIBC, Jitney, and BMO follow Eric Sprott?!?!? agreed,Volumes are too large to get a pop from BNN exposure.  It doesn't happen usually as when you look at top picks, most analysts are wrong and half move out of their positions by their next interview.  So something is going on....

Was also a top pick of Erics.. WFE : TSX 6.44 +0.39 6.45% Westfire energy ltd But should still has nothing to do with it. Why would all the big banks follow Eric? does he do his homework better than the rest? not so sure about that. ----------Original Message Posted 12/15/2010 2:53:10 PM---------- Just mentioning it on BNN does not mean the stock will pop.  I have two of ...more

Maybe Eric was correct in his valuation of NVS.  Easy to do math:use 1500 bbl oil exit 2010 at 100,000 = 150 million dollarsand 500 boe gas                  at 30,000 =  15 million dollarsso value for production is 165 million which is about a buck a share. No value has been placed in land or ...more

I think he was probably quite accurate on his valuation. The most interesting part for me was the technological improvement. Heating water is a pretty low cost solution and if it increases production by ten or fifteen percent that makes a world of difference. Can't wait to see the next set of well results to see if their was an improvement in IP's and a lowering of costs. Also today Novus ...more
