price seems to be capped until there is some news . , so Novus remains in limbo .

A 20% to 25% increase in oil prices and a 15%  likely increase in production at the end of this quarter relative to Q1 will make a big difference to the bottom line and the sp, sale or no sale.

Mark *****field was talking on BNN about Suncore, but oil in general on Market Call around 1 p.m. He was talking about the effect of the closing price gap between and Brent and WTI and made the point that the increase in heavy oil prices plus the drop in the Canadian dollar will go right to the bottom line and will result in a blowout third quarter.  I feel that in the case of Novus the ...more

The name of the guest on BNN is David C_ock field.  Poor guy, his name can not be shown on Stockhouse. l

You are making an assumtion that there are buys, I don't believe there are.  Everyone has been saying for months, 'wait a couple of weeks'.  We are coming up to 8 months now. As for the oil price increase I can't see that helping Novus sp right now.  We know the company is on solid ground, good assets, and worth more that were we are now.  What is holding us ...more

Do tell where I made an assumption on a sale?  I said that Novus is going up whether there is a sale or not after the next two quarterly reports if oil doesn't frop significantly.

I never said it wss sold, only that it would sell soon.  I'm still saying that. At least I'm consistent.  But whether it sells or not, it'll do just fine.

I've been waiting and waiting while watching whitecap and raging skyrocket. I made the wrong bet. I thought highly of the management team at Novus but I guess I was wrong. Look at Raging River, pre-planning for Q2 was vital, as well as continuing to provide updates and guidance. Sale or no sale, Novus needs to operate and communicate like no sale in order to help themselves be correctly valued ...more

Thanks Vienna.  It's OK to vent.  You know I agree but it is always good to hear if from someone else.  I believe something will happen, when - I can't even guess at. Thanks for the article post.

Thanks for the article Vienna.  I am a little frustrated too.  You would think more investors would just look at the numbers and start driving the share price a bit.  Usually when a stock is this beaten down below it's real value there's a reason.   I can't see one, at least not out in the open.

Poker, I have read almost every post and you have only anticipated a sale as I believe everyone has to date. Personally, I was at the forefront to have the company sold, but with oil prices rising I would like the company to hold off until at least Q4 as I agree Q2 & 3 will be show that the company is worth at least 1.70 - 2.25/ share. I thought production revenue would exceed $115M, but the ...more
