Diversification

Just a quick question:

I have a minor position in NLC mostly because of the resource and the managment team.

However, I would like to diversify my holdings in the lithium sector.

Since China is making huge steps towards controlling massive parts of the EV supply chain I was looking into buying Ganfeng Lithium in Asia. However, I am a bit confused when looking at the prices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. I am well aware that there is usually a discount in HK but currently it seems that Ganfeng is trading more then double the price on Chinese mainland.

Does anybody have experience with it or have an explanation how such a huge price gap can last for a long time?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Papino0  Thank you so much for all the links. They have helped me a lot!  Feel free to publish more whenever you find something.  Also great to see that Waldo Perez keeps buying. Of course, this does not mean too much, but it shows the confidence of the entire team since also other managmement members have bought own shares this year.  Thanks again!

Papino0.." but still i don't trust the chinese market laws enough to invest solely there" Second motion. I did it once and get burned on it. You should know exactly how credible your investee is. There are so many owners, co-owners, schemes...Do not expect similar logic in laws or transparency level. You might find out that shares in mainland controls only 30% what shares in HK ...more

I am following birnes only. They are slower to expand, but cost is very big consideration. Rocks are by far more susceptible to Li price change. ML is good alternative, almost "sister" company. It has smaller deposit, but less risky and outstanding management. Also, slightely ahead of NLC in development, FS is completed. I would buy LAC. They have giant deposit (and they owe half, last ...more
