This is good news for us. Argentina's Li value relative to Chili went up. As long as new president won't go after easy $, we may see SQM and ALB diversifying and more interest shifting toward Argentinian salars from investors (mostly China for now). It is amazing how US and Europe sleepwalking despite realizing  that Li is strategic metal. US, at least has some clay. Europe has one ...more

Yes, completely agree, we might see some integration and acquisitions in the coming months. I had a look of scan of NRG, the followings are my thought, and I knew this name, but wasn't ineterested in it so I haven't followed it for a long time. Their properties are located around the edge or outside of the salar, except a small piece of land inside the POSCO's land; Their grade is good, but the resource size is relative small, M+I is about 500K, so I assumed the resource if ...more

Thanks for the reply. Great points, except that I do not read too much into current market take from this. The same thing happened when LIX announced the buy out (market did not buy it completely - no pun intended). I can see that some  firm might see this as a leverage play in the case with POSCO, so the optional buy they have proposed might have some moat. I would say if the first ...more
