Stock Options

"After given effect of the Cancelled Options, the Company currently has 8,520,000 issued and outstanding incentive stock options under its rolling 10% stock option plan."

Correct me if I am wrong, but does this indicate that management believes there is no way these options will hit at $2.42 by Jan. 13, 2023?

Neo Lithium Cancels Incentive Stock Options,if i understand well, every year they are giving option stock to be a way to pay director and employes but you cannot have more than 10% over the total over the outstanding shares. For sure they remove the highest one. https://www.tsx.com/resource/en/438

Should we be happy with lower price options to delute shares at the worse time possible?

This very interesting and somewhat unusual action. One thing sure, there is should be a reason. The options are unreasonably expensive (s/h sure the price won't be achieved), but due rules, it affect P/E ratio.  $2.42 is not too expensive considering that it is 2.5 years away and Li market both. Now Li is cheap due to oversupply, but trend is uncertain (production cut meets demand ...more

Management has maintained their stance of only selling part of the asset and not equity itself. So, pt#2 may not apply.  If they have material news on hand, they may not be able to buy more shares in public, so cancelling the options and replacing similar amount of Options at a much lower price as part of yearly allocation, would give them more upside post any financing deal.  That' ...more

Ok, now I read your post :) This is most likely scenario. Soon we will see new options?

Thanks Eric, interesting document. My take on the cancellation is a bit different from some other ideas that have been posted. I do believe that we are getting closer to a deal and the cancellation has something to do with that. Something like negotiating the little niceties for the incoming JV party. The company will get new and important (knowledge/experience) employees in the JV, people who ...more

Hope you are right, RuudinFrance The travel restrictions, especially non-tourist once, will likely be eased by October.  We may see a lot of movements then.

Don't we get tired of people trying to talk their stock up. One day you won't have to.

Just speculating ;-) and fully supporting your: "wtf do I know". Deal is near, 30-40% dilution at share price $3-$4, rest loans. The NR shows the bone that has been offered. Future loo0ks bright. Have fun.
