The million miles battery is just healine news toget your attention. Practically, it doesn't make sense for now until one day, the cost is so low. tiger

Until one day ... when your car is done, yeah! That's the point , I already sold a couple of cars in my life for the price of steel , wich means nothing ( 200 $ ) . But , when you have a battery that is good for 1M miles it's almost as good as new for ESS features after your car is rotten, but you're battery keeps is value . Ooops @@ I made an error : 700 000 M / 300 M = 2 333 cycles left x 70 kwh = 163 333 / 450 ( monthly ) = 362 months / 12 = 30.2 years

My point is I wouldn't buy a car with a million miles battery, then re-sell the battery 10 years later. With the advancement of technology, The money spent on the old battery may be able to but more million miles batteries 10 years later. With Tesla Battery Day over, all metals related to batteries are in big red! If you have extra money,, it is a buy day! tiger

You will, it's already 'possible' to achieve 1 M miles ( https://electrek.co/2019/11/30/tesla-model-s-1-million-km/ ) with normal Tesla S battery but the one from CATL are safer and made to be reuse after . The battery isn't just recyclable but reusable, so even if you don't need it ( or put it in your next car as Vivas Kumar alredy pointed out or like NIO is doing with ...more
