PP1-R-25

From the PR it appears that hole PP1-R-25 did not hit brine until it was down 90 meters deep. The part I don't understand is that the new deep hole was very close to PP1-R-25 and hit brine starting from 11 meters. Please help me understand? I have not found a map of the hole locations.

Good for you that you noticed and that you ask for an explanation :-) I'm so confident about the 3Q salar, that issues like that don't even register anymore when reading a PR. I'll try to answer your question: (no expert opinion though, just rambling on) You'll have to remember that it's taken a couple of million years to fill the previous rock valley, depth proven to be 600 ...more

Holy shi* Rudy, is that all you do in your retirement years is study geology? Well done.

Hey Greek, long ago, after the PEA or the PFS, I don't remeber which, I roughly estimated/calculated the brine content (produced carbonate) of 3Q. I think I also mentioned my result here on SH NLC board. LOM carbonate production does not stop at 10 million tonnes. That's one of the reasons why I smiled so happily when I read somewhere, also some time ago, that Argentina's carbonate ...more

Tumb up to your knowledge from me. I do not think fallen concentration will be a problem. There are few promising technologies are work in process, Enirgi vaporation (Rincon used it as proof of the concept, for its 400mg salar) and filtration one.  By 2028 - 2030 demand expect to be rampant and these tech (or other with similar results) will be in demand too. They not only can scale up ...more

Neo, All true, but there's this issue with water usage. Maybe they'll fix that as well, technology speeds ahead. We are pretty cost effecient though. Maybe enough to let others do the fancy and probably costly stuff, while we will just happily and laid back keep on evaporating. No crystal ball here. One thing is sure, you and I will not see 3Q depleted :-0) Have fun.

So far nothing beats evaporation, simply because it relies on free of charge solar power (no panels).  Also, NLC has no water shortage problem and will benefit the most from new tech. The company has own risks, but deposit itself is practically perfect. What is encouraging is that management, so far does great job in finding fine balance between maximizing its value while minimizing risks ...more

Do we have much risk of NLC being acquired?
Comment by tiger2201 on Jun 03, 2021 7:18am
Anything is possible, depending on many factors. For me, I would rather not, since NLC is the best of the bests brine projects in the world, Highest Grade, Lowest Inpurity, Long Life (100 years as Rudd said), 100% owned salar (does not share with someone else). If NLC cannot be developed, then all other projects will never. tiger

Tomonomics. I would not call it as "risk". It is a possibility, for most companies. Mining junior are aquired all the time.  I would consider risk of being acquired for too low. Such risk is especially high when junior is short of cash and/or during prolong down turns. Another reason, inadequate management. If my assessement of the risk is correct, then we have very low risk of ...more

Hi Allyboys, Hope the following links and info answer your questions. As you see from the NR, previous drilling and holes R-24 & R-25, all had technical difficulties to drill deeper.  I am very knowledgable about drilling (my company does it), as NLC said that the undernearth materials are sand, grave;, halite, etc, they are all loose materials, and the hole will not be stable, the ...more
