I anticipate Aurora will find a way in concert with both Cannimed and Newstrike management to bring the 3 companies together.
Right now there is a lot of jockeying/pressure for control and philosophical direction going on but at the end of it all the 3 are seeking overall market advantages.
Industry consolidation is well underway and will continue for the foreseeable future.
Likely HIP will be brought into the equation for its marketing potential and perhaps other aspects of its structure that aren't clear to everyone yet.
Cannimed management (at least some of it) obviously sees benefits and they aren't all fools. 
Aurora is talking down Newstrike value based upon existing licencing etc, but that could change in a heartbeat with regulatory completion and Newstrike does have expertise in this area within its management group.
If I had to guess on timing - 2 weeks tops.

Agree with this and this is what i thought would happen from the get go, but i am having some doubts now though, but i hope and think your right....Everyone would benefit from this and the landscape would be a lot clearer, top 3 would easily be Aphria, Canopy and the new CMED/Aurora/HIP group IMO.....Great post!

Agree 100%. I really don't understand why Aurora didn't try for a threesome in the first place. There is zero benefit to going on the attack against a deal already worked out amicably between CMED and HIP. Aurora is really shooting themselves in the foot here. A smart board would have tried to join the deal or make arrangements for a deal afterwards instead of trying to undermine the very
