Hey FX,

I was watching the bid and asks today and I saw something that may or may not be anything at all but wanted your opinion. No tricks and you can message me if you wish.

I observed what I perceived to be blocking of the asks, although purchases at asks were completed the ask amounts would either not change or the volume would be topped up at the current ask price.

I appeared that ask price was being held down similar to when brokerages want to squeeze out other  market contenders and only allow their approved vendors in to the action.

Am I imagining things?

Panic i have noticed this in the past with other stocks. I am sure it is not manipulation but more perhaps along the lines of mtaking positions without affecting the price much either way or at least masking them.  Market orders will fill before limit orders so that may come into effect here as well. This may also be a function of shares being added as soon as x orders get filled keeping the ...more
