There are 2 types of people here

Type 1: Bought in July. From their perspective stock has just doubled and is "advancing".
Type 2: Bought some time last year and remember when it was 3.50 and 1.50. From their perspective "advances" are lamentable.

Objectively: HIP lost all dynamic long time ago and public interest shifted elsewhere. HIP will be above a dollar, but you will miss all the market momentum elsewhere because Jay sucks at generating interest. What you see on the graph for the past week is lots of activity with mild downward trend. Reason: Type 2 investors who had been averaging down and overextended are lowering their stakes. Type 1 investors are picking up the shares cause for them this waiting game is new.
And that's all there is to it :)

when frenzy ensues , the algos feed off eachother whether up or down , this is how they work . This is why circuit breakers were created !!!! This is real stuff and don't think for one second it does not happen on the tsx. The vancouver and Montreal exchanges were rampid with fraud . google it !!!!! tsx is more slick and does this within the rules . its not illegal to accumulate silently

Hard to say. Institutional investors have different risk tolerance. The top-top will only go for the magic 5 and probably have been doing this for a while. To them Jay's business sense will be a hard pass. Middle-sized are probably entering because with all the flaws HIP is still a good candidate to make 30-40% in the near term. As for how far it will go, I would not hold my breath beyond $1 ...more
