Share Buy Back - Time is now!

Cansidering the price is at an all time low. Instead of wasting $4M on a useless mine, why not shave off bunch of shares outstanding? This is the best time for management to consider this.

$4m @ 1.5 cents is 267M shares. That will leave with 258 M shares outstanding.

$5M @ 1.5 cents is 333M shares. That's 192M shares outstanding.

Reducing the shares outstanding is the ONLY way to expose this company sp with the market and  the only way we will see movement in the sp. Having 525M shares is a turn off for any potential investor. It is absolutely ridiculous that a company capable of producing 40k ounces/year has so many shares outstanding.

When the shares were ~250M few years back, the sp was encouraging which drove price all the way up to 19 cents one point. Reserve expansion along with this will benefit shareholders greatly.

Slick, at first glance that sounds like a great idea. The problem though is that as they started putting in bids for millions of shares the stock price would rise and continue to rise. Probably by the time they had purchased 50 million shares, the price would be back up close to 10 cents. I do agree though, that using some earnings toward a share buyback would be an excellent idea. Maybe take 500k ...more

You are referring to open market purchases which is common. However there are other methods of repurchasing which is not traded on the open market. For example, Aurico recently did a modified dutch auction to repurchase $300M in shares. A price range was offered for shares and shareholders interested in selling would tender their price in that range. This was done outside of the market ...more

Share buy back? Just pay off debt!!!!!!!!!

Actually, good point Andyman. That debt has been an albatross. Keep improving operations and cash flow at Lluvia, drill up more resources and get that debt paid down. That should be the whole ticket for the foreseeable future, I think. Forget the merger, share rollback, etc. and just produce some results for the shareholders for a change. At this point I'm down about 90% or 70k on this ...more

Good point. However that was the plan 3 years ago to pay off the $15M loan. Things obvously didnt go as planned due to mismanagement which caused the debt to increase to over $18M and dilution of stock by 100%. Even if debt was reduced or even paid off, it wouldn't reflect any major movement in sp. These 0.005 movements we've seen for god knows how long is ...more
