If by "soon" you are talking after the updated pre-feas in 2Q 10, then you're right. Ain't gonna happen before then.

My soon is within a week from today. Maybe even this week we will see a bid. Not sure if it they take the first bid, but there is definately something going on behind the scenes.Oromin will not see Q2 2010...G1

Doublem:Check out the volume on the tsx, getting close to a million shares. I will be buying more if my wire hits in time...In regards to the Buyout, I have heard from more than one person that there are a number of things going onbehind the scenes with an MDL/OLE consolidation. A lot of the majors need to increase there ounces to keep therebottomeline going, I am not sure if it will be a joint ...more

Goldn1still calling for the buy out?  or were you just trying to pump and sell?
Comment by goldn1 on Oct 26, 2009 1:00am
Top:No chance in me pumping and selling... My average price per share is $2.65. Details are still being negotiated behind the scenes for a multi-player deal consolidating MDL/Oromin. MDL is currently at $1.04 on 1.9 million shares traded so far today on the ASX. People are accumulating and I still look for something to happen this week...G1

G1,  What information do you have that a deal will happen in the next few days and that it will involve a consolidation of MDL & Oromin? Why would Oromin agree to combine with weaker MDL (lower grade ore plus 2 years of hedged production at $850) - wouldn't that dilute the value of the deal?  Continuing drilling & assays at the Oromin high-grade deposits could produce ...more

sounds great, would love nothing more....but will believe it when i see it....if your cost is $2.65 you must be expecting more than that?why would someone pay more than that (at this stage)?
Comment by Capharnaum on Oct 26, 2009 9:19am
He probably means that a major wants to buy both Oromin and MDL, not that Oromin would buy MDL.

>>"..updated PFS in February"It's due Q2/2010, not M2/2010, but with their track record, don't look for it before the end of August. Hopefully, they won't run out of money before then.

ole_OLE you are absolutely correct; the early hour must have fogged my brain.  This updated PFS is Q2/2010!
