Thanks for the welcome JMC, but I've been watching and in this stock for years.   I'm not short term.  The property looks like it has huge potential.  The explorers are all being bludgeoned to death and I blame bankers in large part because gold is their mortal enemy.  They pound the bullion and the stocks in my opinion.  But something else is going on with ...more

I think I have to correct you on a few of your comments, #1 Not all explorers are bieng bludgeoned, I right now own 11 different juniors mainly in mining and the ones that I see getting beat up are usually ones poorly managed, Why would the bankers beat up on junior mining companies when they could play gold on its own and by the way it seems to be holding up well!!#2 What is going on with ...more

I hope it's not to late to turn OLE around? We still have a position..but have bought into other companies by selling off Oromin..thank G**..Its going to take Chet to clean house and bring in people who know what they are doing? It's sure not the ones there now?I blame him for not acting sooner for where the stock is trading now?He was told this was going to happen but did nothing..GLTA.Ron

While it's sad to see Oromin losing steam daily, the pure share value is low compared to its potential. The other party in the JV is a private party and they have to succeed to get paid. Any operation in a new hot zone having over 5M ounces (with OLE having a bit less than half that directly) should be worth more than 100M market cap. If they can come out with a nice feasibility study and ...more

Oh how this board is lighting up! I also own MDR which I am averaged out at .58 cents and they just put out thier NR. The stock was at a 1.80 and has fallen to 1.40 since the NR which is par for the course (canaplats dropped after thier NR and then shot up to over 5 bucks on a bidding war) they are pegged at 161,00 oz per year and permits are in place.I feel very confident with mgmt in this ...more

JMC, I think I have to explain a bit.No. 1, Granted some may be better managed than others but I don't think that is the main overall factor of most price moves in stocks. The indexes show the overall picture and gold indexes are pounded as needed. Stocks go in cycles of whats hot and whats not. It doesn't mean there is a problem with the BODs. When a stock doubles it is run by geniuses ...more

Yes very well put, it would take me a good half hour to type up what you did, Here,s a thought as you did mention mgmt giving themselves options. How about say options at say a dollar and that would get them motivated to get this thing into gear. I did see that they cancelled all thiers at 1-3 dollars. As a SH (yes I still am) to see this stock wittle away and then mgmt decide they ...more
