Goldfather, So do you believe the buyout discussions are active and moving forward with a 2 or 3 month timeframe for completion?  That's what I read into what you are saying. Why do you think they couldn't wrap up the deal in the next weeks or month?

R2G....  oh just thinking they'd get back to the table mid april, and let lawyers and accountants haggle a bit. Giving (maybe) a May announcement. and just  a month if Wade loses.....  and no,  i dont think they'd do anything till the Elections  over. A Wade win will need 2 weeks for the riots to quiet...... and  wth  knows who's doing the posturing w ...more

Macky Sall looks like a fine candidate to run the country. I'm sure foreign investment feels the same. I think now the election question is over. However I don't think anything will happen for another year. I doubt Chet was talking to any majors or else price would be higher than where it is now. He has Probably been talking to teranga and that is it. News leaks, and if it its good news ...more

Johnny, I agree about a deal not happening for a while, but one year?  I am thinking more like 2 or 3 months maximum.   They are probably talking to more than one company because a deal would have been done by now or dropped if there was only one interested party.  Negotiations have been going on for around for four or five months (I am guessing that they were talking ...more

"The company does not intend to make any further public announcements relating to the potential transaction unless it concludes that they are warranted by the circumstances or are expressly required by law."   i have never seen in 25 years of investing such arrogance Who TF does he think he is?   here is a multiple choice test for you chet   A) the company is continuing ...more

Caliche the only reason that I can come up with about the lack of a press release is that the buyer or buyers that they are supposedly negotiating with have prevented them from doing so.  A kind of quiet period.  I do agree that they should at least communicate with their shareholders about the status of any deal or like you said throw out some good drill holes ...more

i do agree as well but.....this has been chets program all along.......only release news when they have too.....im surprised the sp has held above .85......look at pdg.....3.8m oz and a pea......seems to be the case with many juniors........cheers to all...it will happen.

My expereince has been that little to no news is released during a pending negotiating period. So as frustrating as it has been, and I've been extremely frustrated, I'm not surprised by the silence.  BTW, I really don't think  the outcome of the election will ultimately matter to OLE...just the election needs to pass. Winner not really relevant for sp.

Thanks Goldfather.  Makes sense.  Do you think they would give an update on resources before then?  Or are you expecting "all quiet"?
