it is funny how things work....in the peak the big boys paid far too much for takeovers that never really had a good chance of working out.....then they suffer writedowns and fear of doing it again...market tanks and good deals exist but everyone is gun shy to pull the trigger...who would buy ole without tgz at this point...again in this case let's just hope whomever is throwing the hail Mary pass has a good arm...hopefully we find out in the next month or so

That is how it always works find, many bought at the peak and have lost their jobs by doing so.  Those who buy now will buy at bargain basement prices and will be well rewarded.  I totally agree that it is obvious that no one would buy OLE without buying TGZ as well.  TGZ cannot afford OLE at this point but you can be sure that several parties are looking at both ...more

it will get done but i doubt it will be in the next month. give it another year or two.  great time to buy though.

Tony - just curious remind me if I'm wrong...isn't the house ahead on your latest purchases? Thought your TGZ/OLE flip was genius. Glad you listened to someone else finally because apparently you bought at the bottom. Hey huckleberry, the house is ahead. I now own both OLE and TGZ. I do not have many theories left. I do believe that OLE and TGZ will be one this year.  Most likely by being bought by a bigger producer. Like I mentioned before TGZ has gotten decimated here lately and is due for a nice bounce here.  It is a safer bet than OLE especially here way under book value.  I agree that we ...more
