“Conference call to discuss “A” corporate update”….
Interesting wording....could this be the long-awaited first offer for a buyout by Roche or some other big pharma?......

If so, any guesses as to how it will affect this RIDICULOUSLY LOW share price?....lol...could be a fun ride!....heheeee!

Very unlikely. No company telegraphs any such discussions ... and trying to play "cat and mouse" games with their shareholders opens the company up to potential litigation.

Admittedly, I haven't a clue how these negotiations work....how does it work?...are you saying we could have been receiving offers already, but shareholders aren't told about them?

I've already posted on the "how" in my April 27th post .... https://stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard/t.onc/oncolytics-biotech-inc?postid=36011070

I think what he's saying is that you're grasping at straws. The market action so far tells the whole story. No interest!

What I am saying is that negotiations between the candidate target company and interested acquiring companies are not for public consumption, as cited by the example of Alpine Immune Sciences and acquisition by Vertex for US$ 4.9 Billion, earlier this month.

Notable and Canadafan...thank you for going over that info (again)...my memory is not quite as good as it once was...but, from what you're both saying, there is nothing saying this conference call could be to announce THE long-awaited buyout deal, correct?

should read..."couldn't be" to announce THE long awaited buyout deal

How about you just cut us out of the loop and go straight to your nearest oncology department to make fun of the patients there? Don't spout your passive aggressive garbage here and pretend to care about saving lives elsewhere. It's a lil disingenuous and a lot indicative of a parasitic little worm.

Pumpers sure take things personal here. This is a stock investment site not webmd. Quit over dramatizing everything here.

I think everybody is reading way too much into the wording of "discuss 'a' corporate update". Every quarterly meeting comprises a corporate update and review of financials from the previous quarter. While the specific wording in this case MIGHT hint of a connotation, it also is not incorrect in describing what typically happens.
