Appeal obtained by CMO in Bordeaux

https://bordeaux.cour-administrative-appel.fr/A-savoir/Communiques/Concessions-minieres-Montagne-d-Or-en-Guyane-la-Cour-confirme-l-annulation-des-refus-de-prolongation-des-concessions-opposes-par-l-Etat

P.S. I am not a lawyer but it sounds like the appeal is canned; more to follow?

Board and management purchased shares recently.

Thanks for posting. Yes, despite the legalize (legal world can’t seem to state things in a matter-of-fact way; guess it all helps justify those legal fees) it looks like they overcame the permit challenge by the French gov’. The release suggests NG/OREA demonstrated ability to the court, at least at this stage, to be able to conduct and finance the mine construction and cover environmental costs.  ...more

Two months to submit the appeal then Supreme Court has 3 months to deliver opinion. You can find the annual report of the French Supreme Court on their web site. On average court delivers 10 opinions per year with 80-90% of cases resulting in rejection of the appeal.

Thanks for the info'. Based on the points this suggests a high porbability of French appeal rejection, but could push reports/apps submission out to around Jan 2022. Let's hope OREA gets some good response to the possible project in Suriname and results from Maripa in the mean time.  GLTA - https://twitter.com/EarthsRare

The French government starts to look rediculous continuing to file appeals. I don't expect another appeal to be filed especially since all the arguments against granting permits have been exhausted but you never know.
