Question on Buyouts

Hey Osprey followers! I'm not sure if it is as simple as I believe, but when a company is bought out is the share price presented to investors simply the purchase (company buyout price) divided by the total number of registered shares?

Depends on the deal . Could be all cash a combination of cash and stock or even just stock of the company doing the buyout.
