Oriens Travel and Hotel Management Corp. (OTHM) Charts Course for Shifting Business Model
Operating under a redefined business model, Oriens Travel and Hotel Management is laying tracks to compete in online marketing and hotel Internet booking engine services; hotel branding management; and ownership and development of boutique hotels.
The new strategy builds upon the company’s existing model of providing proprietary technology, marketing solutions, infrastructure and branding to hotel operators, the premise of which will remain as the company executes the necessary steps to implement the shift. As part of the changing dynamics, Oriens also plans to re-launch its Hotel PURE brand as well as its Friendly Reservations Online (FROL) hotel booking system.
Oriens’ management team in early August traveled to Costa Rica where the company is completing the acquisition of a 15-story, 44-unit beach-front condo/hotel on Jaco Beach in alignment with the brand revision. This acquisition is one of three anticipated acquisitions.
In news release later in the month, the company forecast that “Having non-toxic financing, secured with the assistance of associated partners and consultants, Oriens should shortly have a balance sheet reflecting tens of millions of dollars in new international assets and an expanded brand presence projecting significant revenue values.”
As one of the first steps of its new business model, Oriens plans to re-launch its Hotel PURE brand later this quarter. Overall, the company is shifting its focus on operating the Costa Rican properties under the new brand and fulfilling the remaining steps to fully accomplish its new business strategy.
