I wouldn't expect gold or palladium to go up

until after the Fed meeting.   They seem to use gold as the directional pointer for palladium, just bigger moves for palladium in both directions.  PDL should move in multiples of the palladium price.  We shall see very soon.

Might be because operations halted at one of Sibanye's platinum mines today due to a major accident. Looks like the workers are all alright but 1,800 are trapped. Sounds like a large mine for PGMs is gone be offline for a while. 1,800 workers trapped in Sibanye mine Keep up to date on South African mining news.
