Mickey Fulp on Curis

I just bought in today after reading Mickey Fulp analysis of CUV. Here is his intro to an 11 page report by Mickey Fulp (The Mercenary Geologist)

Because of my long-term bullish view on copper, I have been looking for nearly three years for the right copper project with robust economics held by a currently undervalued company. I was an early shareholder of likely candidate Antares Minerals but took profits and exited a few years ago. I had the opportunity once again with Antares in April 2010 but missed timing the market and never covered the company before it was taken out by First Quantum Minerals six months later.

Now I may have found a near-perfect candidate: The company isCuris Resources Ltd (CUV.T) and its flagship project is the Florence deposit located in the heart of copper country 60 miles southeast of Phoenix, Arizona.

He is quite bullish on CUV, the only thing is that Curis pays for his website. So he is not impartial although he does state that in his release.  Brent Cook was also bullish last year when he recommended it at $2.30 - I don't know how he feels now.Anybody know? Lets see how they finance the project and what happens with the land under the the jurisdiction of Florence city council ...more

i used to belong to brent cooks websight as of last week of november, i never come across a sell recommendation up till then. great websight btw. im already balls deep in cuv and v.ubr had no money anyway to invest in his picks. but very very informative about mining there is no minimum time that you have to belong for, its 140 a month i suggest anyone who doesn't know much about jr ...more

I cancelled my membership in October, I know he talked about Curis in Nov 15 newsletter.  The thing I found about Brent Cooks newsletter was that it wasn't easy to communicate with him, also few opportunities to get on in new investments, he mainly talked about existing holdings. His avergae cost in the portfolio was $2.30 for Curis  I am in way too deep to pull the plug but I think ...more

what did he say about curis in nov? im a dido for the rest. however he did look into a stock i was holding (ubr) and gave me his opinion. i was pretty surprised at that. the thing is most other jrs. are in same boat as curis. curis came down more because of non approval from town (obviously) the only thing that scares me about curis is the spot price for copper. when brent did an evaluation for ...more

You must be careful what Mickey Fulp says. He is paid for publishing this company on his website so his opinions are bias. The problems with these newsletter writers are they will not let their readers know of other opportunities unless they are compensated by the company. Fulp says his newletter is free but by looking at Fulps resume, he has never ran a company nor ever made a significant ...more

Fulp did say that Curis paid for his website. So his opinion is somewhat biased. He is not an analyst - besides how much faith would you put in an analyst anyways? When things dont go as they predict, they just change their estimate. Curis is a good buy only IF 1) management can finance the entire project without diluting share price 2) get the project going on the portion that falls under town ...more

need to overide Floence Town council The 6-1 vote was not only non-binding, the Town has no jusisdiction over the state lands. That is a primary reason why the State is being so tough with the Town in that letter (in response to the vote). Regardless, you are correct on your points on the funding--that has to happen soon. In talking with IR--given what little she can say and the weak SP--I am ...more
