the deal

To be fair.   The ground was for sale and lease.   Curis bought and leased it. Water permitts were already in place. I read on a thesis that subsequent to the purchase the permitts were cancelled. Curis has spent a quite a bit now and shareholders are hurting. The opposition group thinks curis is wrong and going to hurt the community.  From what I read they present a pretty good case. If it is true and the project is a toxic dump waiting to happen then time to quit.   They likely didn't think so when they took the land and started spending money.   It was available for business.  Why doesn't  the opposition group do a business deal.   Get a state moratorium on the state lands that say no mining ever.   I have that on a sensitive area right next to where I live.    Once that is in place purchase the town land back from curis for 30 million.   I know that might be hi,  But if curis agreed. End of fight.    The city would buy it and all residences and corps would pay through land tax.

Seams reasonable to me.  Then I might come down and buy a place.

Well for soem reason it didnt look like the opposition showed up in droves last wednesday for the ADEQ hearing. Form what I am hearing and seeing 80% were supportes for Curis. Nofluff maybe you should have joined them wearing a red shirt and research that you have uncovered. lol

I have no clue - ask your opposition friends. On the POWOF website they're were encouraging all their supporters to come out in droves.

Au Contrair, The opposition was there and we were all wearing our red shirts. The supporters for Curis were for the most part not even from Florence but other areas in Arizona and brought to the meeting after a reception of "great food" and drink.
