Town Ordinance

Florence City Council has passed an ordinance which makes it a misdeameanor for any company (soley directed at Curis) to operate in situ mining using sulfuric acid within or two miles outside town limits.  Towns last ditch attempt to prevent mining test on state land.   Legally under Arizona Law the town can fabricate a nuisnance ordinance law, but will not stand up in federal court/ Supreme court as it violates constituion right of  a property owner. If ordinance is held up, Florence must pay Curis "lost value" or value for land taken. Currently Florence has barely enough money to pay for services or an evidence/ crime van for its police dept.  I don't see why Florence council doesnt let EPA/adeq do its work first, and see how the test permits show if there is any environmental impact.  If they dont like it, they will ban it.  I guess that'st how it is in a small town controlled by developers.  Well at Curis' current price of .43, it  represents value of land that Curis paid for at $24 million.  Land value does not take into account of potential copper on the property.  Of course these are just my own opinions and thoughts.
