Funny thing is that Florence has a huge waste dump at one end of the city. It has been growing and the smell or naseaus fumes affect residents more than the Curis project. Florence town council says their fire department cant fight a fire with sulfuric acid .....but sulfuric acid is not flammable and will not burn. You cant get a fire from sulfuric acid!  If you go to Florence Gov website and look at the town meeting  on August 6- mayor and council looked confused and wanted clarification on the wording of the ordinance  - especailly want to eliminate the name Curis from the ordinance so it does not look like they're targeting Curis??  Looks like they should hold their meetings in the morning - most of the council looks like they were falling asleep.  This was an emergency meeting held on an urgent basis to pass this ordinance.  Town is in millions of dollars in debt and is solely focussed on a mine that will bring costly legal action over a biased ordinance.  Funny thing Curis can use other solvents ie HCL (hydrochloric acid) for the in situ process, what is Rankin and his Geritol gang going to do then? Better tell them to change the wordings in the ordinance and have another emergency meeting.
