Keeping the general exploration work on the Pickle Crow Property in perspective, R. J. Graham,
PCGM Chief Geologist from 1962 to 1967 writes:
“During the 32 years of production, surface
exploration was confined to the east part of the property because any new discoveries could
more easily be developed from the underground workings.” Also: “From 1935-1967 a total of 1
½ million ounces of gold was produced for a gross [income] of $53 million, with dividends of
over $12 million. It should be carefully noted that less than $100,000 was spent on surface
exploration of the property
.” (Graham, 1974).
